          Trip Itinerary

*Accommodations are subject to availability; equivalent alternative lodging will be suggested if indicated lodging is not available on desired dates.

The start of your epic adventure will start in Hokkaido. Fly into New Chitose Airport, the gateway to Japow skiing. Once you deplane and go through customs, grab your stuff. Your guide will be there to welcome you and escort you to an awaiting bus, which will take you to Niseko. For the first 4 nights you will be staying at the Freedom Inn* in Niseko. After you check in, get your bearings as you relax after a long journey.

On your first day, your guide will meet you at your lodge to take you up Niseko. He or she will take you on lift accessible off-piste runs as you get your legs under you and get used to the lay of the land. After your days on the slopes, explore the Niseko base areas. Niseko has one of the most dynamic apres ski economies with independent ski shops, restaurants ranging from food trucks and ramen shops to a growing variety of gourmet restaurants and Michelin-beknighted chefs. Don't forget to soak in the myriad of hot springs available throughout the area.

Chase powder in the side country of Niseko, Rusutsu or Kiroro, or, with weather permitting, deeper in the surrounding lift-free mountains with your guide depending on where the best snow is.

On Day 6, pack up your bags and your guide will take you to either Kiroro, Sapporo Kokusai or Teine area depending on the best ski conditions of the day.

Afterwards, hop on a train from Sapporo Station to Asahikawa station where a car will take you to the La Vista Daisetsuzan Hotel*, your lodging for the next three nights.

Mount Asahidake is the tallest mountain in Hokkaido, situated in the center of the island. Accessed via the tramway, enjoy skiing down what is known by the indigenous people as "the garden where godsplay" with you, your guide and not much else.

Day 9 is a transfer day. Pack up your bags and your guide will escort you on a few trains including the famed bullet train as you head south to Aomori. From Aomori Station (or Hachinohe, depending on the schedule) the guide will drive you to the Hakkoda Hotel*, your base of operations for the next four days.

Enjoy exploring Hakkoda with your guide.

Hakkoda is a minimally developed national park which is serviced by a single tramway (there is also a small lift operation at the base), with only two cut trails descending from the top station. Hakkoda is about putting on skins or snowshoes and exploring its multiple peaks and valleys. It is a 2 hour trek to the tallest peak (O-dake) from the top of the tram, with deep rewards for those who make the effort and get lucky with a weather window.

After your final full day of skiing in Hakkoda you will hop on Japan's famed Shinkansen (bullet train) and make your way to Tokyo for your final night in Japan. This evening you will stay at the Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi* which is located a short walk from Tokyo Station.

On the last day of your trip, an airport bus will be waiting to take you to either Narita or Haneda airport. Enjoy the last few hours as you embark on your journey home.
